  • In Mitchell, we enjoy an unparalleled lifestyle – outside expectations.

We take pride in our rich history and Midwest tradition, and that includes recreation that spans all four seasons.

Take the family out for a splashing good time at the Mitchell Aquatic Center, where you can swim laps in the 50-meter, 6-lane competition pool or try out the double slide that runs over 100 feet. This waterpark has something for the whole family with zero-depth entry, a water walk, sprayers, slides and more.

Lay out the picnic blanket for free outdoor concerts by the Mitchell City Band, or run off energy at any of Mitchell’s 20+ public parks and beaches, including basketball courts, sand volleyball pits, softball diamonds, soccer fields, tennis courts and more.
