Join us for the 6th Annual Palace City Kiwanis Half Marathon & Relay, 10K and 5K! We run so the kids can play-If you're looking for a race where 100% of the proceeds are used to benefit children, you found it. Kiwanis of Mitchell funds programs for children in Mitchell, surrounding communities, and around the world. Proceeds from the #PCKH are used to fund programs such as Girls on the Run, Kiwanis Woodlot Park, Bike Safety event, scholarships, youth baseball, youth soccer, and more. Palace City Kiwanis Committee is offering FOUR race options in 2023! We have a 10K and 5K race along with the options of the traditional Half Marathon and we still have the option to grab your running bestie and run our Half Marathon Relay. All 4 races will receive a medal and a shirt. Half Marathon-The #PCKH course begins & ends in front of the World's Only Corn Palace, you will run a couple miles in town before heading out & looping beautiful Lake Mitchell. There will be water stations approximately every two miles with multiple portable toilets along the entire route. ?Prizes awarded to the Half Marathon Runners only, to the top 3 male and female finishers as well as top person in each age group. Half Relay-That's right... a Half Marathon 2-person Relay! The route for the half marathon relay is the same as the individual half marathon. The first runner will begin in front of the World's Only Corn Palace. The second runner will be bussed from the Corn Palace to the half-way point of the race. Due to the limited space at the half way point, all runners will need to be bussed. Thanks in advance for your help and cooperation! ?The Relay is Limited to 20 teams. A 10K! The route for the 10K will start out following the route of the 5k with added distance. The route will start in front of the Corn Palace, loop through the city streets of Mitchell taking you past Mitchell’s Cadwell Ball Complex, looping the bypass area twice before heading back to finish in front of the Corn Palace. A 5K! The route for the 5K will start in front of the Corn Palace and loop through the city streets of Mitchell taking you past Mitchell’s Cadwell Ball Complex and then head back to finish in front of the Corn Palace.
